The Cut-Glass One, on Brass

This is the most jewelled of the three shades: a gently tapered cone, 14cm across, cut all over with small facets that break the light into a dense scatter of sparks on the tablecloth and the wall behind. Brass warms it, and pairs it with timber, linen, terracotta and dark green. It is the version for a restaurant-style dining table, a dressing table or a bedside where a little glamour is wanted.
